New Years Resolutions/how far I’ve gotten in a week

I have a bunch of things I want to improve on in 2012 so I’ve grouped them as resolutions and goals. 2011 was a big year for me and has probably set the pace for the next few years to come, I turned 21 last march and have legit felt like an adult since then so my resolutions are pretty standard.

1. Use gym membership/lose weight/maintain fitness.
I joined a gym on Christmas Eve so I could avoid being a cliche….but it is something that’s become really important to me and the new year is an optimistic chance for me to work gym visits into my schedule. I had a personal trainer session on Friday so I’ve got a log book and recommended reps and exercises to complete, so as long as I just suck it up and follow that I should be on my way to being well fit.

2. Prioritise my Masters over work - and finish it this year.

Last year I started my Masters enrolled as full time, but within a few weeks dropped down to part time. I also managed to put off doing my internships so this year I have one subject and two internships to complete. I’m giving myself a whole year to do this.  Yesterday I got a phone call from the internship adviser saying that the Biennale has an opening in my ~dream department~ so I really need to follow that up.

3. Be more organised.

Yep. Boring. I want to be able to say Yes to more things and usually my unorganised and lazy self holds me back.

I bought a moleskin so I dont have to put my work roster to memory.

Goals:

- Move out with my bb, I’ve been saving money for atleast 6 months so this will happen pretty soon.
- Save for a holiday. I’d love to go to America but could probably only afford Japan.
- Budget better and keep working on buying pieces for my wardrobe….but I think saving for a holiday and paying rent could cancel this out.

- Keep to my Goodreads 30 books in a year goal.
